How can I unfreeze my Palm Tungsten E?
I have a Palm Tungsten E. Today it froze up and even after a soft reset it is not responding to any touch to the screen or pushing any buttons. It even seems slow to respond to the power button. It has been on the charger all day, so that shouldn’t be the problem. I just put some info on it yesterday and had not had a chance to Hot Sync since, so I am trying to avoid a hard reset. Any help?
turns out you can run a folded piece of paper around the edge of the screen just under the case and it gets rid of the crud that is confusing the digitizer. Did that and now is working like a charm!
Try pressing the reset button with your stylus, and, right after the Tungsten screen comes up, hold the “Up” button. This is know as a warm reset, and will allow you to either backup, format & restore, or find the source of your bug and remove it.
