How to sync one email on multiple computers (Microsoft Outlook & Mac Mail)?

My dad has one email address. He is able to view all his incoming emails from other people on both computers. However, he isn’t able to view his sent emails. For example: If he views an email from another person and sends a response to the person on the Mac computer (which has Mac Mail), he isn’t able to view that sent email on the other computer (the Pc – which has Microsoft Outlook).

All email programs are independent. There is no way to synchronize sent email with a pop3 account which is what Yahoo offers. If you set the account options to leave mail on the server you can receive the same mail in each program. In that case they must be deleted from the server online.

If you are not using Yahoo and have an email service that uses IMAP then I do believe sent mail can be synchronized but I am not experienced with it.
